• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gauges going crazy and can't get the mode to work.

2012 Spyder RT Limited. Of course these things always happen when your getting ready to move. Rode my bike about 3 weeks ago. had a trickle charger on it. Got in the bike to fire it up and and the gauges started coming on and going off...on and off ,on and off.Switched it off and it wouldn't turn off right away. The screen would stay on awhile with no display. Brake light staying on in the gauge. Tried again and again to get the mode to turn on but nothing. Transmission is in neutral. So the brake is not on. I'm not sure even where to start...... any ideas?

Start with the battery connections and make sure they're tight.

Is it still on the original battery? If so, it's now 3+ years old. Could be time for a new one.

I agree start with battery connections, make sure all are tight.

Brake should be ok to go on or off while bike is in neutral.

Pull key out and take it away from the bike for a minute or two, that will give the computer a chance to reset.

If it will start, crank it up and let it run for 15 - 20 minutes.

If it wont start, jump start it, be sure the other vehicle is turned OFF while jump starting the Spyder.

Let us know if that helps.

Cruzr Joe.

What else would you expect living in....SURPRISE ?

seriously though, everyone here is sharp, you will get some good, serious, ideas.
I don't know a darn thing about the twins, and probably not enough about the triple.

When the display comes on did you try to hit the starter? Try that or try turning the key on and off 3 times quickly.

Gauges going crazy

OK, looked at everyone's comments and as usual you guys are GOLDEN! Put the key in this morning and gave it a go..... Nada, zip, nothing. Worse than it was yesterday. So as some suggested ... looked at the battery. Battery is less than 6 months old so I kinda was ruling that out from the get go. Should not have done that. I thought my trickle charger would keep things going. Probably would if it was good. Bad trickle charger equals upset rider. Brought out old trusty just for fun and there it was in all it's radiant . The battery was about dead. Soon as I got 90% on it I gave it a shot ... Oh YEAH!!!! Bonus....
