• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Could somebody, anybody tell me what would make my 2008 Spyder SM5 gauge cluster start flashing different indicator lamps.Even the gear indicator is changing.I changed the battery with no improvement. HELP!!!

Could be the cluster is bad. I had that happen to my 2012 RT and my dealer put in a new one. It's covered by warranty.

:yikes:..........In order to receive help, you need to help us ................like with more specific info on the problem...........My 08 did this for years but always ran OK and never left me stranded...........Remove the key and take it 25 ft. from the Spyder for 10 minutes & see if this will re-boot the computer ....for starters..............Mikeguyver :thumbup::thumbup:

Let's see..!!

if you replaced the battery the computer would have rebooted. Assuming the problem continued the next step would be to remove the cluster and re install it after checking area. Rodents like to dine on vinyl wrap. Does it start..?? Are there other problems..?? How many miles..?? Have you done any electrical work like leds, hids etc..?? Things to consider...:dontknow:

Getting the key away from the bike will sometimes allow the systems to kind of, "Clear their throats" a bit... ;)
If that doesn't help, Gene's suggestion that vermin may have been snacking up under the bodywork; may turn out to be true.
I don't know if you're doing the work or not, but I'd check the groundwires to make sure that they're all solid, and then start checking for loose connections or chew marks...

Good Luck! Please let us know what you find!

battery cable connections

and battery condition should be checked, first thing. bad connection or weak battery will cause all kinds of problems.
