• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gatlinburg/BBQ folks check in.

Deb and I made it back home last night around 8pm (we left Gatlinburg at 9am). We had decent weather the whole way with no rain and comfortable temps (mid 60's to mid 70's). We were slowed by the Shriner's Parade in Pigeon Forge and we had an extra long fuel / dinner stop just as we got into Michigan. We watched the final 7 minutes of the Wolverines upsetting the Badgers on the TV at the truck stop. Go Blue!

Patches made it back after the boo boo was fixed. Had to drive through rain most of the way but all is safe and sound.

Just want to know everyone made it home safe.

Made it. Gail and I started out shortly after 8 a.m. on Saturday and arrived in our driveway at 9:55 p.m. (1127 kilometres). Good weather all the way. Talk about lucky for this time of year!
Best,
Bruce

Hey Bruce, did Duane follow you guys all the way back? He said he was going to ride with you and he also wanted to get back home in one day. I got an email from Rando stating that he and Bonnie made it back by 4pm Saturday but they had the advantage of driving a car and they got an early jump on us.

Alright folks,
Everybody needs to start posting pictures for the less fortunate that didn't get to go.:popcorn:

He sure did Brian. He left us at the turnoff for Highway 23 north. Randy and Bonnie made some serious time. They must have left pretty early to get back that soon, even in a car. We headed out shortly after 8 a.m. Noukone got the same treatment at Canada Customs as he did at the U.S. side. The officer just wanted to ask him questions about his Spyder. I'm glad I am taking delivery of mine soon. A guy could get an inferiority complex! :D

I arrived at home here in Naples at 5:00 pm today.

I had a wonderful time at the Gatlinburg rally and especially at the Lamonster BBQ. I am looking forward to next year.

Butch and Carol,
We were praying for not only your safe return but healing for your family. Please keep us posted. We will keep praying. Also, thank you for making the trip to the BBQ in the first place. Continue to ride safe and remember you are in our prayers.

Spyder reunion at Gatlinburg

Sorry to have missed the event. I can't keep my spyder out of the shop long enough to take a trip like that! Maybe next year if I still have the machine. My patience with non reliability is very low. Too much good equipment out there to mess very long with this.
