• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Shock for trunk

Hey folks,

Who's a good supplier for the short gas shock that holds up our trunk lids? I know there will be several of you that want to say Can-Am and yes I can go that route, but I’m sure as long as these things have been around someone has figured out a source for the shock.
For a 2010 RT.

Steve

Anybody got the numbers off the shock? Or dimensions? so I don't have to take the bike apart just to get them. the wife don't like her bike down for long.

A couple of folks have mentioned taking struts to AutoZone or some other automotive parts place, and matching them up with what they've got in stock... :dontknow:

Yep, Napa, Autozone. Oreilly's, Advance Auto all carry a good cross section. You can also take the numbers off the one you have and cross ref and get them from amazon.

Hey Steve..!!

go online and google them. Cheapcycleparts.com is a good place for oem parts at a better price then there is the auto parts stores..say hi to Cena...:2thumbs:
