• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Price Survey 2013

ARtraveler

R.I.P. Dwayne
Summer is on the way and the prices are going up at a record pace.

As of 2/8/13 gas was up to $3.71 a gallon for regular and $3.91 per gallon for 90 octane (spyderfuel). This is now the highest gas has ever been at this time of the year in Alaska.

My prediction: We will see $5.00 per gallon plus by Memorial Day, and $6.00 or more per gallon by the end of summer. Then--they will cut us a break and we will only have to pay $4.00 per gallon plus until they play the game again in 2014.

It is $3.44 for reg (87 oct) here in the pcola area of Florida, however, there are stations that are selling it for $3.51 a gal. also

All over the boards, Here in my part of Jersey,
87 Anywhere from 343.9 to 389.9
93 Anywhere from 399.9 to 417.9
Stated reason for the price on the East Coast is Hess is closing their refinery in NJ'
The EPA wants Hess to update that refinery at a projected cost of 65/80 Million dollars'
So Hess figures they'll make more money by closing it down.

We beat you all...!

California it's 4.09 a gal for regular don't ask about the rest. We have great roads, great weather, just can't afford the gas soon...:helpsmilie:

Twisted!

$4.59 for premium today. Here we go again! Someone on one of the financial channels made this statement the other day. "Stock market moves ^up^ and oil follows".

$3.01 to $3.39 for regular, all within 5 miles of my home here in Knoxville. Can't complain compared to what you guys are paying everywhere els. Keep hearing it's because of refineries being offline for one thing or the other. Don't believe it for a minute but what can you do?

Ed

Ever notice that every time the prices start to slide, it's time for some refinery to shut down for "maintenance," and that usually lasts until there is a "shortage" or a "flare-up in the mid East, or...! Coincidence? Hmmmm...! :gaah:

So far, I am noticing a yearly pattern here. The only thing that changes are the "reasons." I also heard the one about the stock market is up--therefore the oil prices. The market was not up last year, go figure?

high gas

reg. just hit 3.79 today in cincinnati:banghead: , but congress swears there's nothing crooked going on. next week might bring 4.00 ,and a worse recession.

Quote from local newspaper.

" On Feb. 1, two Rancho Cucamonga men were arrested on suspicion of drilling holes into the gas tanks of six parked vehicles and collecting the fuel in plastic containers and glass jars."

Yep, Once the vehicle manufacturer started putting in anti siphoning screens in filler necks the bad guys
turn to different and more costly [to the Owens] methods.
