• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas mileage

At what RPM does the 1330 get the best mileage? Some one mentioned getting 42 MPG at 62 miles per hour. I think that is about 2400 RPM on my RT limited. Anyone doing better?

I've noticed that mine has gotten it's best mileage in the 55 to 60 mph range...
(My best tankful yielded 42.3 mpg)

I noticed that i go faster when i am in the 80 + or - range

(what is gas mileage???):dontknow::dontknow::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Hi Joe,
If I'm ever in that much of a hurry...
There's got to be a sale on Bacon, Beer, or Spyder Accessories involved!

So many variables....

Sorry don't have one of those and on mine the rpm's would scare you...:roflblack: don't do mpg's on the spyder have a two Wheeler with pedals for that....:roflblack: . Bob would be a good reference point....:spyder:

Considering that the price of oil and gas is as cheap as it is why even worry, gas it and go. My Exxon stock is in the toilet.

There are other factors that affect fuel mileage other than speed, windshields and any farkle you may of added that would change the air flow which adds resistance. Back in my Goldwing days I had a GL1500 and the torque curve dropped off at 2850 rpm and would come back at 3200 rpm. If you wanted the best fuel mileage you keep the rpm below 3000 rpm, about 60 mph. I member one trip we were on my wife asked why we were going so slow, she was on her own bike, I told her this way the best speed to get good fuel mileage, she said " I don't care about you fuel mileage " you can figure out the rest of story.

:agree: That there are other factors...

But these things are just about like Big Ole Barn Doors, getting pushed down the road... nojoke
The faster you go; the more dino-squeezins' are gonna be needed!
As far as helping the aerodynamic package: By all means; do what you can to pin it's ears back!
I normally run with my windshield set as low as possible.
I have BRP's adjustable air deflectors, and I set them in the center position.

Rolling resistance?
Keep your tire pressures up where they need to be also!
