• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Mileage???

Red RT-S

New member
Has anyone noticed improved gas mileage over the past couple months? When I took my 2012 RT S SE5 out of hibernation in April I noticed that I was getting a couple mpg more than I got last season. In the past I got about 30-31 mpg, but now I am getting 33-34 mpg. For the first tank of the season I thought it was just due to possibly not getting the tank as full as I usually did, but this has continued for over 1500 miles. I have also noticed the same thing with my Toyota Tacoma pickup. In the past I have averaged about 20 mpg, but suddenly it is now getting 22-23 mpg. I was talking to some friends today and they have noticed the same thing with their Toyota Prius. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar?

Summer & Winter gas

I realize winter and summer gas are different, but I am comparing mpg from last summer to current mpg. Just wondering if this is something unique to the gas we are getting in northern New England, or is it universal.

Our fuel mileages are running just about the same as they did last year... :dontknow:
Maybe you learned something over the Winter, that you could teach to the rest of us. :D

Gas Mileage

Just finished 1,300 miles in 5 days in Western CO and eastern UT on 2014 RTS. 2 up, loaded down with luggage and made 42.4 mpg for the complete trip. Last fall, did a midwest / southeast swing of 3,000 miles and was getting 36ish. Other than this trip started wth odometer reading of around 4,500 miles, driving was about the same - mix of interstate, mountain roads, 2 lane blacktop, etc.

Can't explain the improvement, but certainly quite pleased. Hope it lasts.
