• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

gas mileage???

My Dodge Ram crew cab with a Hemi gets 17 in town and 23 on the highway. My prostreet Mustang gets 9-10 mpg. So when we ride the 14 RT and get high 30's and low 40's we are pretty happy.

I have started to use pure gas, no ethanol. Last tank all around town 32 mpg. The tank before all highway from Hooper Utah to Heber City Utah, 38 mpg. Last year on a group ride I got a high of 42 mpg and a low of 28 mpg. Most of the time I'm in the mid 30s mpg. My ride is a 2012 RTs manual trans. The mileage is not much different than my former GL1800. Both of my sons have VTX 1800s, my mileage is better than theirs. I usually get between 160 to 170 miles before the low fuel light comes on.i have modified the stock muffler by removing the muffler portion at the rear of the muffler. The sound is good and my mileage improved after the mod.

I didn't get the Spyder for the MPG I got it to have fun an I only got 14-16MPG on the way home loaded with trailer. 2012 RT Limited No complaints here all fun. Cant put a price on that!

Just finished our trip from Montana to Missouri and back with our2014 RT Limited.... Averaged 29 mpg. Pulling a trailer bad my wife as co-pilot....?RUN 91 octane....and 70 mph

Mileage on '13 Spyder

I've put gas in my new '13 RTS SM5 3 times now. First tank I got 44mpg, but that was all highway coming home from the dealer, with about a 30mph tailwind the entire time, so I don't really count that one. Second tank - 25.8mpg. And the third, 31.5mpg.

2012RT with 12000 miles gets about 29 to 30 at 70 to 75 on interstate. Slow down below 55 on back roads, get about 34. These things are not aerodynamic so gas mileage will vary with drag that varies with speed. The windshield is probably the biggest air drag but I don't like bugs hitting me. If you are really after gas mileage on interstate, get in the draft of a bus, motor home, or 18 wheeler, not that I recommend that. The air is very turbulent and blows your head and spyder side to side. My 1974 Honda four motorcycle had a throttle lock, no cruize control. If an 18 wheeler passed me and pulled in front, my Honda would gain speed and be sucked up to the rear if I didn't back off throttle.
