There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I got 709 miles on my 14RTS-SE6 and I am getting ...................................................................Wait for it............................................................................................................39.5mpg. I am using mid grade gas. Deanna777

I'm sure that it'll improve as the engine loosens up...
By the way; did the mileage on Mike's improve? He mentioned getting about 32 mpg when I last saw him... :dontknow:

That's sure better then my 24-27 I'm getting, but that's much better
then my ram

How many miles do you have on your ST-L? I was in the same range 24-27 and then with about 4000 mile on the odometer it was like flipping a switch. It has jumped to a consistant 30-33 with a high of 36 and that is for the last 3200 miles mostly riding 2 up.

:gaah:....tHAT 32 MPG REFERENCE was actually the highest I obtained coming back from ILL......Now I usually get between 38 and 40 MPG per tank fill-up at 4400 Mi. after first oil change to Rotella T-6 full SYN.........Of course I could get way better mileage ....ie at least 40 if I used Premium gas ......But I'm sticking with 87 Octane .....the RT runs smooth, starts good, and I pass anytime I want.......If I want to go Quicker than this ...I'll investigate a TURBO :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:................Mikeguyver

2014 ST-L

So far in the first 1000 miles I am seeing 30-32 mpg. Was hoping for better my VW Jettas get that.

I now have 3,000 miles on my 2014 Spyder RT Limited and am averaging 40 Mpg. I use 93 grade gas.

2nd tankfull

We got our 14RT 2 weeks ago and on the 2nd fill up we got 6.75l/100km or 34.8 mpg US. I'm very happy w/ that and it should only improve as the bike gets broken in. So much better than the 2010 RT-S.

2014 RT MILEAGE

:gaah:.....Bob what effects ( lowers ) my gas mileage is I do a LOT of PASSING.....which is worse than just driving fast on the Highway .......Except for that I'm sure I would consistently get 40 or 41 MPG's ..................and that would be on .....87 OCTANE ..." Texas " is actually getting better than this .....also on 87 Octane .......It would be one thing if I recommended someone try using 87 octane without having any firsthand knowledge of the consequences of doing so......However my mechanic and I pushed the 1330 engine until the......." KNOCK SENSORS " activated and the stress level needed for this to occur was much, much higher than 98 % of NORMAL driving .......Both He and I would recommend using 91 octane under the following circumstances .......Very steep mountainous driving WITH a passenger ......or an adult passenger and TOWING a fully loaded BRP trailer .................When I pass, I do so very, very quickly and so far I have not noticed the " knock sensors " kick in .Mikeguyver :thumbup::thumbup:

Mine seems to be holding at 40 mpg now at 6000 miles. It went up steadily from 36 mpg at the beginning. Oh yes, 90 octane--highest available.

A DIFFERENT ROUTE

Mike,
Why are you digging? Nobody mentioned octane... :dontknow:
:gaah:....and some people mention lots of things that have no meaning ..............So :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Mikeguyver
