• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas leak

Came home from ride tonight on 2013 st-s and parked outside of garage to allow spyder to cool off. When I came out to put spyder away I noticed wet spot under the right front side. I think it might be gas. Anybody have this before. Spot was pretty small but I have not noticed this before. I thought over flow tube coming out the bottom. Gas tank about 3/4 full

I believe that tube is from the EVAP Canister someone correct me if I am wrong. Did you put your finger on it and smell?

There are two tubes in that area. One is the atmospheric vent from the emissions canister. It may drip slightly, but shouldn't leave a substantial puddle. Normally this is just condensed fumes. Overfilling the gas tank or filling too fast can force gas into the canister, which will cause more extensive fumes and dripping. Get some liquid on your finger and smell it. Gas is easy to detect. The other tube is the coolant tank overflow. If the coolant cap is not tightened to the second detent, it won't hold pressure, and coolant will overflow when it gets hot...often after stopping, because of heat soak. Check your coolant cap. Drips from the splash panels in this area are usually from oil that has blown by to the air box. Be sure the oil isn't overfilled.

Leaks..!!

any leak should be checked out. They are all vital fluids and should not leak out. I would pull some plastics and look for signs...:dontknow:

I have a Spyder RT Ltd 2012 and was asked by the area service manger that he had someone who had a strong gas smell. He knew of all the problems I have had with my bike but I have valley fever in my sinus and can't smell well. Yesterday I just filled up and rode 15 miles to meet friends and they smelled gas on the right side of the bike. Now reading your problem I remember seeing a wet spot under the right side. Now two dealers also asked me about it and now I can tell them. Thank you I have had a gas leak were I had flames between my legs so I don't want to go through that again.:spyder2: RJ
