• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas drip

2016 rt-when bike sits over night and started in morning gas drips for a few seconds then stops for the rest of the day. Any thoughts on this

Interesting....🤔

But would need a bit more info to guestimate.... like where the drip shows up under the spyder..? :agree: may have to pull panels to see if it is coming from the tank/fuel pump... fuel filter, evap canister, fuel cap area or more forward around the throttle body intake area. :dontknow:

This needs to be found and corrected NOW. Not later. Very dangerous. Do not be the next Spyder-B-Que...

Start by taking the covers off around the motor and seat area.Look for stains around any hose or pipe that could indicate a leak.Sniff around to help find the area. Many fuel system seals are made of rubber O-rings or gaskets and when running under pressure they will expand enough to seal properly but after the pressure bleeds off then they may shrink and lose that perfect seal.

As others have asked, where exactly do you see these drips? Under the engine area? Out of the end of the exhaust? Under the fuel tank or mid/tail of the machine? Telling us the general area of this drip could make it a whole lot easier to help.... :dontknow:

It's not just dripping out of the exhaust is it? The little bit of dripping that most modern gas engines get from their exhaust when starting up after sitting overnight (especially on cold damp nights) might smell a bit like gas; but it's almost invariably just condensed water vapour that's a touch contaminated with improperly burnt gas & exhaust fumes & the drips usually go away once the engine reaches its proper operating temp, and these drips are also basically harmless!! ;)

I have the same problem. I am getting ready to strip bike down to find the leak. when sitting on bike, hubby got down on my right side of bike, middle front. which side is the fuel filter on, right side (while sitting on bike). Fuel filter is on the right side of bike. One of the clamps to the Y was not tight....cleaned it up and put on red thread locker. no leak. The Y is part no. 709000453 for $11.88 you can find them cheaper at a hose supplier store. the y is for a 7.99 mm hose. the fuel filter is 219800056 $19.49 ride now. Ride now sells 6ft of fuel hose for $25
