• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That is the Dodge one, about 6" in diameter. That is what I installed.

You can get the same thing on Ebay too.

I've been talking to Bluemike911 and he said that on the this one, the opening for the gas cap is too small if you have big hands! I have big hands! This is the eBay # for the one he recommended! 262324387971

Gas door.

The dodge one is the one I used. DIYed it. There is a picture here in one of my posts. I can't get to this one.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Do you have a picture of one that has been installed?
Thanks!

Here is the entire project: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...Nothing-spectacular-just-making-it-mine/page2

Mike is mistaken, I have large hands and even without the cap extension you can get the cap in & out. Pay attention to the suggestion to move the door to the front and up a bit.

This what you can type in Ebay:
BLACK BOLT-ON GAS FUEL TANK DOOR COVER+KEY/LOCK FOR 09-16 DODGE RAM 1500-3500

If you type in the word " cover ", that is exactly what you may end up with " a cover "........and this will " cover " an OEM gas door..............so it may be a flimsy piece of tin and not a sturdy " DOOR ", and if you get something that isn't STURDY, this project will not work....... This one was/is 1/8" thick, but yes read the description very careful, on any Ebay/Amazon purchase. This one doesn't say the thickness, but you can see thru the pixs that it isn't junk. Someone else got this one and so I was comfortable ordering this one.

Mike I took your advise and just wired my seat lock open so don't have to use the key to gas up. Works great for me. Don't know why the seat door is needed. Thanks for the wire advise.

I think you will be better off not having to use the ignition switch..................Some people carry BACK-PACKS etc. on the passenger seat for extra capacity when travelling. The GAS DOOR lets them get gas without having to take all their stuff off to do this ........Mike :bbq:
