• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas and Shocks

Just got back from the gas station. 32 mpg. Each fill has been 30 - 32 mpg. While the station is 2 miles away, the trip took 20 miles, which is not unusual. This time I took the shock wrench and my 12" long 3/4" copper pipe cheater and rode the same three mile stretch five times changing the front shock settings from 1 through 5 for each run. I'm not sure what settings 1 and 2 are for and 3 is just passable. 4 and 5 really change the handling characteristics. At 150 lbs, I found 4 to be just right. Make your own Goldilocks test run on the same stretch of road and see what's "just right" for you, but I wouldn't waste the gas on 1 or 2.

I bumped mine up from 3 to 4 and rode this weekend there. Will probably go to 5 though. There are starting point reccomendations in the owners manual for various weight riders / situations.
