• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Garmin Zumo XT - will sd card w/ music folders work?

Hi.
I have been trying to get my XT to recognise my 256gb SD card that I installed. I do have the music stored in folders by genre.

After repeatedly trying to get the card in and the little metal door falling off a few times I do have the card in but I see nothing. I set the music to play MP3 not bluetooth and zero.

What am I doing wrong?

I have just tried a 32gb sd card that I formated, when I attached the XT to the PC I see the extra card so I dragged and dropped a few MP3 files onto that and it shows the files on the card.

Turned off the XT completely and restarted and again I can not see the card or the music in the MP3 files on theXT?

It might be that the 256 gb is too big for the XT to recognize. I know the Zumo 660 is limit 32gb sd card.

Many thanks I just reread your post and its up and running. Now to take a few days to load the 256gb card.

Too bad it does not read flac though but has the Astell and Kern AK70 MKII to handle all the other files

My Zumo XT Says a 64Gb Max SD Card.

Just out of curiosity…where did you see 64Gb max, RiderDuke? The cut and paste below is from page 70 of the XT Owners manual -

The device supports microSD memory cards from 4 to 256 GB.

Yup, My Bust... After I saw Escorial's post i went back an looked at the manual and i was wrong. Sorry for the misinformation..... I know I saw it somewhere when researching which GPS to buy... I just can't find it anymore..(I know I did...lmao). Oh well must be my CRS kicking in again... I have a 64gb SD card in mine and it works like a charm...

Yeah, that’s why I asked the question, RiderDuke. I thought I had seen 64Gb somewhere too, but when I checked the manual it was 256Gb…… who knows :dontknow: …..

Has anyone ever tried to load the Cam AM Go software on one of these?

I really wish that the bluetooth on the bike is not supported by any devices that are not cell phones.
