• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a Zuma xt are you useing Wi-Fi for your up dates or hooking to your computers. I think the frist time I will hook to the computer to register it and get the Frist up dates just wondering how the Wi-Fi works or if the other works better. Had this GPS for a year and now just getting ready to install. Any information would help. Thanks

Although I have a 590 not an XT, because the Garmin updates are critical to the operation of the device, it is best to use Garmin Express and a direct wired link to the device. Furthermore, when it comes time to run a map update, unless one has blindingly fast Wi-Fi it could take a number of hours using that method. JMO.

WiFi here….. I get a connection when I drive in my garage, and the XT automatically updates (if required), before shutting off.

I just finished updating my maps, software, and loading my GPX files for an upcoming trip. I also uploaded the new maps to Basecamp. I used the regular cable and not the one for auto updates. worked like a charm
