• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Garmin Virb editing and uploads

I am in my first attempt, ie. experience gathering, at producing and uploading a video. Virb edit is a simple program but I found it difficult to smooth out the editing. Is there a good editing software that won't break the bank and easy to run by a computer challenged novice? Virb produces MP4.

Also, what is the best video upload service to use and what should I be cautions of when uploading?

I use Sony Vegas but you can download Microsoft movie maker which is not bad for what you need.

YouTube is what I use but be aware it does recompress so quality may be degraded.

Just got a Virb myself. I intend to use Windows Movie Maker and/or Arcsoft MediaImpression for any basic editing that I might do. Will also use YouTube, segregating private and public uploads using YouTube's privacy settings.
