Some might not consider this a good deal-- but I sure as heck do !!

My Zumo 550 was giving me some problems-- and then on my way out of town on my last trip I had not clamped it down all the way and it popped off the bike-- hit the road hard and cracked the screen and some of the plastic (see pic).

Garmin has a flat rate repair on the Zumo 550 ----- $150.00. They just exchange mine for an already refurbed unit--- and transfer it over so I still retain my lifetime map updates......

I thought this was a pretty awesome deal as I thought I was out $600 !

I believe the fee varies depending on what unit you have. Great customer service from these guys!

Have not had that fixed as it seems to work fine--- no tickets when I actually USE the darn thing! I think their 'tune up' price is like $100--- not bad either.
