• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a Garmin 590LM that came with my 2015 RT. This fall we will be doing a road trip that crosses into Canada at Niagara Falls traveling thru Quebec City and on to Nova Scotia. How far into Canada does the installed maps cover? I certaingl do not need it far into Canada

Don't forget once you cross into Canada change your MPH to KPH on your LCD display through the menu so you do not get caught speeding

My Garmin with the full North America coverage has worked well in Canada, and I've gone many hundreds of miles north of the border. But be sure that your installed maps are the full NA version, as the lower 49 state version did not work once I crossed the border (think gray screen).

Canada

Wife and I rode to Winnipeg and around that area. I have same GPS on my 14 RT Limited. No problem. If you would like, do an update on there web sight to make sure you're maps are up to date. Otherwise, ENJOY:thumbup::thumbup: Canada's beautiful

The Zumo 590LM comes with the maps for all of North America. That includes Canada. It also has Lifetime Maps. That is what the LM in the model stands for. To update your maps to the latest. Install Garmin Express onto your computer from the Garmin website. Then plug your Garmin into your computer and follow the directions in Garmin Express to do the updates.
