Garmin 660 Question

I plan on getting the Garmin 660 installed by the dealer on my new RT-S. My present Garmin does not "talk" and I think I would like to silence the "talk" function whille riding local roads. Is there a "voice off" function?

I am not sure if I understand your question correctly. Most GPS units will not talk until a destination is entered into the unit, so you should not have to silence the "voice".

Hit the power button twice and it will go from speaker to FM Transmitter. That is the easiest way to mute the speaker.

I meant if I put in a destination, I will follow the GPS but I don't wish to hear the voice telling me to turn left in one mile, etc....like mute the voice system and just have the GPS screen....

I installed my Garmin 660....really easy. You can turn the volume down all the way.
