• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Garmin 590 Sound?

I haven't used my GPS yet but was wondering if the sound from the GPS (I have the factory mount)comes through the speakers or if you have to use Bluetooth to hear directions.

It comes thru the speakers. Just turn on the media player if you have music on the SD card and play what you wish. when you get directions it will cut off the music and give you directions and then it will go back to your music. Priority is Phone if you get a call> Directions > Music MP3 files only. It will play nothing else but MP3 format which is the most popular. You may have to turn it on Aux to get what you want not radio. It is pretty easy once you paly with it. The 590 is much better than the 660 which they went back to in 2016. Most OEM companies have abandoned the 660 due to it's age. Garmin very rarely supports a unit over 10 years old. Make sure you go to My Garmin and open your free account and register your unit and make sure you update the software and maps often. You should be more concerned with software updates rather than map updates as the map updates usually only updates the Points of interest.

Go to this website called the Zumo Forums and learn all about it. I am Azone on the forums with over 3000 posts but there are many good people with allot of good info on all Zumos.

To update the 590 (Can Am) http://can-am.brp.com/spyder/owners/dealer-database-update/garmin-zumo-590.html

To update the Can Am dealers go here http://can-am.brp.com/spyder/owners/dealer-database-update.html

You will have to use the USB cord to hook up to your PC and then you can see your Zumo in the removable drives as Garmin etc. From there you can also see your SD card and add songs or update maps using My Garmin https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/logi...min.com/mygarmin/customers/myGarminHome.faces

Azone14 is spot on. I prefer to use my Bluetooth because in addition to the MP3 I like to listen to local radio stations and prefer not to blare my preferences to the world.

I have just purchased the 590LM and am getting it ready for the riding season. Thanks very much for info and links. I also bought excellent locking device from http://www.kradellock.com with Kapplock to lock Ram mount to prevent someone from loosening clamp. Very well built and sturdy.

I am not able to talk when I get a phone call, or I should say the other party isn't hearing me? Anything I should start looking at for troubleshooting?
