Buying my first Spyder!!!!
Hello everyone. I will be putting a down payment on a 2015 RTS SE6 :spyder: later on today as my first Spyder.
I plan on purchasing the GPS and stock mount and installing both myself to save some money on labor. I've been searching the threads with no luck on what is involved to do this but imagine it's not too complicated.
From what I have already read, it sounds as though service manuals must be in electronic form and only available to the dealerships and not the general public.
I've been in a wheelchair for a little over 22 years so will also be installing the ISCI hand brake. I was able to test ride an RT Limited with this installed at Central Florida Powersports (thanks Albert in sales!) and have read nothing but good reviews from everyone that has had the opportunity to use it. I plan on buying a Freedom trailer to carry my wheelchair. I was able to verify in person that my chair will fit in the RT-622 but haven't seen a Freedom trailer in person and have only found exterior measurements online. Does anyone know the internal measurements?
I have been researching and saving for the last couple of years and can't wait to hit the road. I live on the east side of Orlando Florida and plan on driving to Key West with my wife as our first good distance trip.
I will post pics once it is delivered.
If anyone has any advice or tips all will be greatly appreciated. A little nervous about the money I'm about to spend but think it will be a lot of fun. It's been too long since I've been on and owned my own bike.
