:agree: I bought an extra universal xmitter and it lives in the pocket of my riding jacket. I just reach down and squeeze it right thru the jacket and gloves. Never overlook the simplest answer.

I did the same but on the right side, virtually invisible but easy to use. I also used the 3M wide Velcro.

Yea, I started there but moved it to left side so I could use it while I still had my hand on the throttle. That way I can open the door from a half a block away.

Have a 2010 RT SE5 and I just put the GDO in the small glove box below the handle bars. Just open the glove box and press the button. Keeps it out of the weather and out of sight when bike is parked.:clap:

I did the same. Works for me.

Some excellent ideas there. A smaller universal transmitter in my pocket would probably work better than carrying the "clunker" in my pocket. The momentary bypass switch is neat and clean. You have also given me a little more confidence in the Velcro than I had. I am in a Condo and the universal transmitter may not be a workable solution (the codes keep changing and the "special" transmitter has some sort of safety updating on it). I will probably go with the by-pass switch. Thanks:bowdown: for the great ideas. This site ROCKS

I installed the Autoswitch http://autoswitch.com/ #AS5PG2. about $30. Hid the remote by the fuse box in the frunk. Now all I have to do is flick my high beams to open or close my garage.

Whoh! Hey! My Spyder didn't come with a Frunk.... I got ripped off! :gaah:
