• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Garage door opener for 2020+ RT and RTL

Hey guys. I was searching YouTube and found a guy in the comments section who recommended this. I just bought one and it is on the way (I don't even own a Spyder yet). This should be just the ticket!
I see they have them available with a switch that matches 2019 and earlier. Pretty pricey @ $90 but they sure look good!

I wish I saw this post before I installed an on/off rocker switch there. But, then again, my GDO is a Wayne Dalton and is not on the approved list of manufacturers for this remote, so I guess I feel a little better about missing out on this install.
Thank you for the post.

Thank You for the post. I like your illustration of an installation.
I too have a Door Opener from a company that is not listed- Sommer.
I bought switch on Amazon and spare opener from the manufacturer.
Wired the opener to the switch and installed on the Spyder. Rather a fun project.

This is a decent option for someone who wants a simple easy setup.

I'm a tinkerer. I wired my own solution up for less than $10 and my garage door opens when I'm in range and flash my high beams. ;-) I have 2 Spyder and a Victory Vision all wired this way.

Would you be willing to share exactly how and the parts needed? I like this idea.

Thanks, Bob

I'll need to pull the info together. I should have mentioned though the I made 4 of them at a time - which is what allowed it to be about $10 a piece. Some of the items I bought in multiples.

Also - what Spyder are you riding? That will matter.
