• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Garage Door Farkle

It has already been determined that the PTT button can be re-wired for other chores.
Has anybody taken the time to hook it up to their Garage Door Opener yet?

(Assuming that you're not using it for it's intended purpose...)

I soldered the two wire to my opener and to a momentary switch like the Goldwing guy did. I drilled a hole inside the front of my glove box and Velcro the opener to the front part of glove box. I put the switch in the center blank plug where the 4 switches are for ride control heated grips ect. I used mechanics wire to get the wires fed thru the two holes. I have a round plug from a previous cycle but you can drill a hole in the blank rectangle plug to fit momentary switch in. Easy to do and opener button very convenient.

I clipped mine on to the left side front point of my seat (above where the gas cap is) using the visor clip that came with the opener.

In my clumsy case :opps:: it's because fishing around for a loose item in the glove-box,is often more amusing than it is productive. :banghead: Having it nailed down to one specific location just seems to make everything easier.
