• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looks like you have been dealing with website glitches. It will get better. :2thumbs:

I hope it's not the same thing that caused your disappearance for awhile a few years back. It was at that point that some wondered if there would continue to be a SL's.

It has been touch and go (mostly touch and gone) today. It's always the same every time we get an upgrade it starts out as a downgrade. Hope it levels out soon! :doorag:

Here's the deal. As you know we made the move to the new forum software so we didn't have to deal with getting hacked and having no support from running an outdated version of VB. That was a challenge by itself but to add to that there were server issues. I have the most awesome tech for working on the servers and doing my VB work but even after he's spent days getting this server into shape it still has issues that even he can't nail down. We just now pulled the trigger on a new dedicated server that he'll be setting up for us in the next day or two. We'll have to deal with the DNS changes but this should fix our problems we've been having here lately. I hate moving off of my other host but they can't seem to keep me up and running so it's time to move once again. We hope to get the site on the new server this weekend so if things get flaky you'll know why. It's all growing pains I guess and I'm thankful for the support of the vendors to help pay for this. :doorag:

Our company computers were recently updated. I haven't been able to use one of our vendor sites since then. I have to call them now to place orders. Today, I couldn't keep a VPN connection. maddening when you're trying to update and send e mails.

as someone said earlier..."walk way from the keyboard".....come on down.....we are cooking
Bar-b-q....next weekend....make your way down here....we got you a place to sleep....

From the user perspective the site seems to be operating very nicely with the new upgrades. Rarely notice anything major from an operational standpoint in the last couple of weeks. I appreciate the efforts and the upgrade!
