• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuse panel placement

I have an FZ1 compact fuse panel mounted just under the headlight under a black panel. (See picture) if a fuse blows I've got to practically take the whole bike apart to get to that panel in order to replace a fuse. I'm wondering if there's any better place to put this panel?

Thanks

To get at it I have to remove black panel under headlight.

The reason I placed it under the black panel is because the battery connections are right there. As the battery is right below there.

Depends..!

there are several spots depending on how much work you want to do re-routing the wires and how accessible you want it to be. Also consider what fuses and how often you need to get to them.....

space for fuse panel

I am new at the Spyder and where the voids are under the tupperware, but I believe there is enough clearance under the left side of the seat for a six fuse panel, as well as for a + and a - distribution panel and the relays will go on the right side under the seat. I still dont know where to put the two Gerbing permanent controllers. I plan on putting all the electric farkles completely separate from the CANBUS system, some switched and some unswitched, but all fused. I plan on spending the next two days with an old Spyder hand who is planning on removing lots of his tupperware and hopefully I will come away enlightened.

Although I have a GS, I have the aftermarket fuse block located under the chanel, which is just under the Y panel in front of the seat. It's easy to get to.
