• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Beautiful Riding in the Catskills today. Trying out new routes. Usually start at Roscoe Diner. Any recommendations for specific roads to hit? This was on US 10

Very nice..!!

Great picture... Not familiar with the area but as a wonderer I just take the next road and see where it leads. Found many amazing places and almost all roads come out to main highways at some point...those that know will let you know...:ohyea:

Beautiful Place

I just visited the Catskills for three days on my Spyder last month. It is indeed a very beautiful place to ride. Even the motel I stayed in was rustic and peaceful. :)

Here are some pictures from my trip there...

Sorry, I didn't answer your question...

My MOST favorite road, that I experienced in the Catskills, was "Peekamoose Road", which is Route 42 that goes about 13 miles from the village of Sundown on Route 153 near the top of Rondout Reservoir, though the forest reserve, and comes out on Route 28A, in the village of West Shokan, near the Ashoken Reservoir. It's sometimes twisty, and has several shear mountain drop-offs along the way. The scenery is beautiful. :2thumbs:

If you were to then go NW on Route 28 to Big Indian, and then take Route 47 back down the northern side of the forest reserve, along what I believe is the West Branch of the Neversink River, to Caryville, that would most likely be a beautiful ride as well. If you were to start this trip in the early morning, you would arrive back in Caryville around lunch time, where you could have a great lunch at the Blue Hill Lodge Cafe. I didn't take the Route 47 ride back, but I did have lunch at the Blue Hill Lodge one day, and I promise you, you will NOT be disappointed.

But on the Summer weekends; it's plugged full of "weekend warriors" out of New Jersey... They all seem to come up here together; to get away from it all... :gaah:
O.P. If you're in Roscoe; head towards Downsville, and take Route 30 North. It'll head up to Rte 28... :2thumbs:
