• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Full screen orange ABS failure light

When I pushed the mode switch, after Nanny did her thing, I got a full screen ABS, orange warning. the starter will not work. I have not ben able to check all the conections/relays and so yet.
Would low brake fluid cause this ?
I have over 15 K on the original brakes.
Any other idea would be appricated.

I suspect low brake fluid could cause it, but it shouldn't keep it from starting, unless the brake switch failed on an SE in gear. Check your fuses and the kill switch, as well as whether it is in gear. You might also check the fault code(s).

H mentions ABS failure light in his topic, but not in the post... :dontknow:
Do you have a good pedal?? If you've got brakes, the ABS deal could be sorted out by the dealer.
Sparks mentioned the battery; always a good place to start checking...
Codes?? Fuses and Relays?? Kill Switch?? All are good suspects...
Please let us know what you find, and Good Luck!

I'm at a real loss on this one and at this point can only ask questions. Most important, are you home or on the road?!

1. any warning or was everything working?
2. is the kill switch in correct position?
3. does it reset?
4. were you able to read any codes?
5. does it even attempt to start or is it dead silence?
6. is battery connection good?
7. are there any loose relays?

Let's try to get answers for those and see where we are at.
Thanks for information
1. no warning rode fine at last shut down
2. double checked
3. unsure what you mean. turn key on, black screen, changes to run scren with mode button, quick changes to orange. dead silence when start button pushed ( #5, lights stay on)
4. If I read codes right, P0504, PP62C, L0062C6.
6. unknown as yet, no time to check, going to now
7, I think I pushed on all of the, checked fuse 5. S couple relays appeared a very little but no results
Again thanks for the help

It is looking like battery. Now limp mode and a couple others come up.According to what I read in the book, getting to the battery means taking off most of left side. Agin, not time right now. Any different information out there ?
I bought it in April 10, Service guy at dealership says, probably need new battery. How long does a battery last in the RT Spyder ?
Again, any help would be appreciated. thanks for every thing so far

A common cause of multiple warnings and/or limp mode upon turning on the ignition or trying the starter is loose or corroded battery terminals or a bad battery. Any of those would also account for failure to start. So would a loose rear frame ground (negative jump start terminal under the seat) Before you take off the body panels, you can test the battery voltage at the jump start terminals under the seat with a multimeter. If you read less than 12.7 volts, your battery or connections need to be checked.

Taking off the left side body panels is not that tough. It just takes a few minutes and some care. You will have to do so to check the connections and remove the battery if needed. I wish we were closer...I would be glad to show you how and help you out.

Thanks everybody for all the information. I tried a couple other things and it points to the battery. I will try the meter test.
