Fuel Mileage

Well the fuel mileage is getting alot better, approximately 2300 miles on the odometer. We filled up the tank today, it took 6.3 gallons, 261 miles on the trip o meter, according to my calulator, 41.4 miles per gallon. I also had the wife check my math, she came up with same answer. I will take it.

41.4 miles a gallon sell the spyder and get a peddle bike. Your wasting the fun of a powerful spyder.

Good mileage. We find consistent 30 - 32 on the two cylinder and 39-41 on the three cylinder.

261 miles is a lot

In my 6 fill ups, I got 217 miles one time, and the low fuel warning light was followed by the check engine light and then limp mode.

I limped into my local QT and was pleased when all indicators returned to normal.

If riding two up that's great. I've gotten three tanks at 40.5 but haven't pushed the distance as far af you, mort like 225. For me solo it does take very conservative throttle use and no interstate travel.

I just completed a 1400 mile trip from So Louisiana to Tennessee & back on my 2014 RT -- 1 up .. I averaged 34.2 mph for the entire trip.. not real good for a 3 cylinder 1330 cc engine .. gee, my wife's 2007 Toyota Camry (4 cylinder) gets about the same ..

Fuelly has me at 10242 miles and averaging 38.3 for 59 fillups. Best mileage was 48.4 worst was 27.7, but mostly I fall around 37 to 39 mpg. I ride 1 up and shift at higher rpms than most people talk about here and also cruise at higher rpms than most talk about here.
