• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuel economy

Don't forget the 2014 have a 6 speed transmission so not running at as high rpms as the 2013 and older. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.

I would recommend waiting a year till they get all the kinks out of the new engine. I rode my new RTSSE5 156 miles today two up and fill up was 4.7 gal. Total miles on RT is 312. Thats about 30 miles a gal up MT.Lemmon (10,000) and back (54 miles) and the remainder at 65 on I-10 freeway.

Probably 32MPG with no one in the tail gunnars seat.

I find it hard to believe that the 2014 is not even sold yet and people on this site are already trashing it. And for what??? MPG??? Are you really serious? You will spend $30,000 for a Spyder (most of you buy the loaded beast) and you will complain about the gas mileage? Have any of you taken simple math (no decimals, etc) and calculated? 252 miles divided by 5 gallons = 50 mpg. You won't get that at every fill up, but any improvement in mpg is a good thing. If you are going to complain because it is not what you think it should be, then don't buy one. Period.

252/6.9=36.5 I am sure they are optimistic and no one rides till the tank is empty. It is all in the riding style. I also doubt people will be shifting at the "Eco" suggested points they have had them in cars for year and if you do it will not be very enjoyable. It is like hyper milling easy on start decell 1/2 mile from the stop light etc. I am sure they will get better mileage than the previous years.
