• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

fuel doors

Will anyone be at the rally in Maggie Valley next month installing fuel doors ?
Thinking I would like to have one but don't want to cut my seat n fear of ......

Check out how I did my install, in the My Mods, or DIY. it is easy, if you can use a tape and a brain at the same time, it a piece of cake, really worth it.

I did find one wrinkle, my door is black. If you park with the sun hitting right on it for awhile, it gets hot, nothing to create a hazard, other to your leg while you ride off and your leg is resting on it.

Little checking..

check with BLUEKNIGHT911, he is very good at that but I don't know if he will be at Maggie valley...

:agree: Mike installed mine, and did a great job!

To be 100% honest: There's NO way, that I could build up the courage to do the job on my own. While he was cutting the seat cover, and poking hot nails through it :yikes:, I was just trying to NOT throw up!

The hot nail thing is just Mike being too cheap to buy a Dremel tool. With a Dremel, and an oz. of common sense its a piece of cake. Some people can't change a light bulb, but that doesn't mean that it is "too scary".:banghead::banghead: But then again if you are ladder challenged???

TOO CHEAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Bill, you are an A- hole ..... I have two dremel's ..... the reason I don't tell people to use that method is because if they don't have a Dremel ....they might / will just pick up a regular drill .....which is slow speed with a drill bit that is not meant to cut sideways ...... Soooo what will happen is they will end up pulling the threads under the vinyl and ruining their seat ...... A HOT NAIL WON'T DO THIS ...and most everyone can make a hot nail...... I may be considered cheap by some ..... BUT I'M NOT STUPID ..... I'm just trying to prevent people from making a BIG mis-take ...... Something you don't seem to give a DAMN about...... and Yes I'm a bit ticked off by your thoughtless post ........Mike

Guilty as charged and you are totally justified:yes: I was just jerking your chain and I did get you to explain that if you have a Dremel, its better than the hot nail, caveman approach. So IMO get a Dremel, or a blow torch to heat up the nail. Or heat up the drill bit, a little more control.Do you still need to heat up a 2" piece of pipe for the actual hole??:banghead:
