Frustrating! Delivery time on New RTL

Doesn't sound too bad to me considering the way things are. We waited 6 months for an RV, now wait time for some models is 1 year.

Adrien and I were looking at furniture , the sales person said the wait time would be 2 years out( in 2023)!

Update: Imotorsports sent me a text today, said that my 2021 Spyder RT Limited has left dealership and is headed my way! My impatience/OCD has made the wait seem forever, but things are looking better! No ETA yet, but should be next week! Thanks for all you support!

I do not think Valcourt has switched from sleds to Spyder production yet in the factory.

I'm under the impression that the Valcourt factory was going to be remodeled after the 2017 Homecoming to allow production of both snowmobiles and Spyders at the same time. Maybe I don't remember (quite possible!) correctly, or misunderstood what they told us about the remodel/retooling that was coming.

Yes, actually have looked into hopping on a plane and picking it up and heading home! Few issues, cost of flight, two nights out and then the weather! If it were summer and warm, I was younger, might try it! 1800+ miles is a long ride this time of year! Thanks for everyone’s input!

I thought Imotorsports had a deal where they would pick up the tab for plane ticket and ground transport to their dealership. Is that not a thing anymore?

Yes, still true. They will buy you a plane ticket and pickup trade in. My issue was the time I wanted to fly to Chicago, Southwest had their meltdown! Plus the weather and distance was an issue, not summer and I’m not as young as my mind tells me! All good now, should have new RTL this week, can’t wait! Thanks

Hi everyone, just joined...I just ordered a 2022 RT Limited from Broward Motorsport in Ft, Lauderdale. So far great experience dealing with the sales (Dan), but man the delivery date is set for March. I was also told the deposit BRP does not even begin production unless the dealer secured non-refundable deposit from the customer. All I can say is wow, looks like chip shortage crisis is really the cause with these delays. Will keep you guys posted!

So, new 2021 Spyder RTL was delivered yesterday! Was a terrible day in New Mexico, winds blowing 50+. So glad to have bike in garage, took a short spin and loved the ride. Will take a longer ride today. Wanted to give an end to my original rant! Thanks to everyone for listening and your responses!

The BS meter is being pegged very high concerning the non refundable deposit for delivery 5 months from now. I have a hard time believing this is a BRP directive. Looks like they got you locked in. :bowdown:
