• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello frunk will not open by pushing in turning with key.Tried pushing on it and turning key at same time no luck. Any suggestions would be good. 2015 RTL.

If pushing it down and turning to the right dont work the cable maybe off or broken. May have to use a long screwdriver to get the frunk open

If this doesn't work, the frunk can be opened by propping up the corner on the right side of the hood ( do this slowly and carefully about 2 inches ) …. then you want to slide a stiff rod / dowel ( about 18inches long ) across the upper part under the hood lip to the latch lever and push it to open …. before you start this procedure you will have to pry up the blk plastic triangle on the right side....because the latch mechanism is under that plastic cover …. I suggest if you don't have a shop manual go to CHEAPCYCLEPARTS.COM and find the Fiche' that has the pics of that area ….But if you see the Latch area by looking at someone else's, you will be able to see exactly what needs to done …. this isn't easy to do but can be done with persistence ….. If you've recently put a very loaded soft side bag in the frunk and removed it there is a strong possibility you may have pulled the rubber gasket part way off. While Mikes idea is very good and from a guy who knows much more about the frunk latch problem than I, before trying it I suggest getting a second pair of hands to help. Show your assistant how the frunk/seat latch release system works with a demo in the seat. Then, with your assistant ready to work the key, press firmly simultaneously with both hands on either side of the centerline of the frunk lid and see if that allows the latch to release. You may have to move you hands about a good bit and DON'T LET YOUR ASSISTANT FORCE THE CABLE RELEASE. If the gasket has popped off you should immediately notice it when you press down on the lid.

Try pushing down on the key and turn it towards the fuel/seat release side then to the frunk side. This sometimes works for my 2015 RTS.
