• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Frunk Trouble

Commander

New member
I stopped to get gas and I turned the key to release the seat on my 2015 RTL, no problem, but i turned the key the other way to release the Frunk and there was no resistance I checked the Frunk and it was unlatched and when I tried to close the Frunk it would not latch. After I got home I played with it a little and the latch finally worked. I took the cover off where the coolant is and felt around for a loose connection and everything seemed ok.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

What a lot of us have done is attach a thin cord/wire to the right side of the latch take to the left wheel well. Then you don't need to use the key.

Drunk latch

My 2015 RTS frunk latch will stick open unless I turn the key back toward the seat unlatch position and hear it click.

My 2015 RT-S frunk did not latch.
Found the latch assy was loose and had moved down far enough to not latch the lid.
Loosened the bolts, moved the latch assy up, works good now.

Seems like a manufacturer did not tighten the bolts enough.:(
