• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Frunk Switch Not Working

My wife picked up her 2013 RTL from the dealer after service and now the frunk switch does not work.
The Triaxis handlebars were replaced and the 3 service updates completed, got it home hit the frunk switch.... nothing....
:banghead: Another trip back to the dealer, at least it is only 28 miles away.

Check the gasket around the opening to see if it is seated all the way, mine was not from the factory and the lid would not close well or they unplugged it and forgot to plug it back in...

Frunk switch

First check that they did not bend the micro-switch arm or forget to reconnect the wiring. The micro switch arm is depressed by a tab on the lid and if it is misaligned will not respond. With the lid open and ignition on lightly depress the switch arm and then hit the frunk release button. See if you hear a click. If so the wires are in place but the arm is not aligned with the lid tab. Check for alignment by seeing if the tab on the lid actually hits the switch arm. If not adjust as needed.

:agree: It's pretty easy to check that switch's condition; pop the frunklid...
Right hand side... you'll see the black plastic cover up above the frunk. There's a "cut-out" in it, where that switch should be visible. If it's been bent; you won't see it.
If you DO see it; the dealership must have just not plugged everything back in...
Good Luck!

Had mine in yesterday for the ECM update and the fuse box sealed. Told them that I was having trouble opening the frunk. They replaced the switch. Good so far.

Just had Actuator and Switch replaced last Friday on my 2013 RT-Limited. Both were bad, both covered under warranty.

Same thing happened to me when I had mine in for service. The electronic switch was working fine before I took it in. Now it does not. My dealer is 75 miles away though. Going up on May 5. Not too worried about it now as the key switch works fine.
