• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Frunk sensor

On my 2015 rt limited, I have a what looks to be a sensor at the top of my frunk that I would think would notify you if it was open. Like what you see when the rear trunk lid is open. This does nothing. In fact I sat on a new rt Ltd at the dealer and it did nothing on that one too. The dealer thought my switch was bad. Is it suppose to work? Does it have a purpose?

It's actually a switch that turns your frunk light on when the frunk is open, and off when you close it.

Yup! :agree:
Their is no sensor on the frunk for telling you that it's been left open.
If you're moving down the road; air pressure on it would probably keep it closed anyway! :D
And if it DID pop open; you'd know it for sure!

Thank you.

Thanks, for your quick reply. Didn't know there was a light in there.

It only works when the key is on. It may be hidden under your lining though. There is a small flap on the upper right of the lining as you're facing the :spyder2:. The light is under there.

I picked up my 2014 RTS 3 weeks ago in Charlotte, and we couldn't get the lid closed. The wind kept it closed for 258 miles at speeds approaching 80. Woodsrider opened a thread with the problem and the good SL Folks had a remedy by the time I got home - I locked the bars in both directions a couple of times and all is well now.
