• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thats easy........ it holds and hides lots of beer !!!!!!

On another thread arntufun posted about beer. I know when I bought my RS the salesman showed me a rubber plug in the frunk saying I could use it as a ice chest, and pull the plug to drain it. I never did this, so don't know if true, but if this is true does the RT have the same drain plug? I have the liner in my RT, and do not want to pull it out for nothing. Just hoping someone without the line could look for me.

drain plug?

i have an rs and do not have such mentioned hole with rubber plug in the bottom

it wouldn't be a hard thing to instal one go to the local parts house tell them you need a fire wall plug the rubber type something in the 1 inch size "remove your Frunk" find a suitable spot and drill a 1 inch hole insert plug from the inside reinstall frunk

i said remove it so you can look under to see if there is anything under the spot chosen

A knapsack cooler fits the trunk well, and can be taken in the house to fill, clean, or empty, and can be carried into your room or picnic table on the road. I wouldn't use the trunk for a cooler even if I did want to remove my trunk liner. JMHO

So does this thread raise a new issue about Spyder heat issues? :D I mean, how to keep the engine heat from melting your ice .... or ice cream! I'm thinking of looking for a sheet of that blue styrofoam insulation.

Quick, Spyderpops ... come out with a new heat management kit for the frunk!

I have an RS, no hole in the bottom either ...... yet! ;)

You don't have to worry about heat management for the frunk, and the motor is downwind when traveling (unless you are backing up).

:agree: one of the reasons I never looked into it, and besides the frunk only holds 35 lbs. Just a small snack for me.

Agree !!!

I know that Teds Red Sled, which is a 2011 RT-S doesn't have said drain plug

While I admit I bought my RS in January of 2011 it sounds like the salesman either hood-winked me, or did not know what he was talking about.

wow, I find this hard to believe that a salesman didn't know what they where talking about or tried to hood-wink you. Say it an't so... :roflblack::roflblack:

I have a little Walmart insulated lunch bag, put a couple of cold waters in and take in the frunk when I don't have the trailer, works great.

DID SOMEONE SAY BEER!!

Hay I can answer this one. My RT has a drain plug in the bottom. BUT! get you soft sided cooler from wal-mart. On the RT, the fuse block with relays is in the frunk. Do not want ice water to be splashing up on it or you will be walking. Dont be-leave me? ask my wife. I got first place for having a red-neck moment, :firstplace:

I don't understand--why are we carrying beer--we should be drinking it!!:roflblack::roflblack::bowdown:
