• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Frunk lid

Yes, there is an adjustment to the RT front trunk latch. It will have trouble latching or opening, especially electrically, if it is too tight. If you look at the latch, you will see two 10 mm bolts that attach it. Slots there allow adjustment if these bolts are loosened. There is an adjustment procedure in the shop manual. Lubrication also helps. Like on your car door, these bearclaw latches do not like to be dry. Also, especially if you have the RTS with the trunk liner, look to see that the trunk gasket is properly seated all around. It is easy to accidentally pop off a corner, leading to trunk latching problems.

It was the latch Scotty. It wasn't going up all the way. I sprayed the heck out of it with silicone spray (only thing I had handy). That will solve the closing problem. Lets see if it solves the opening as well. Merry Christmas everybody. And may God Bless everyone!

I was having a problem with the front trunk latch locking the lid down. Thought I was going to have to make another trip to the dealership but after searching this site for related threads I found this one. Found out it was just a quick adjustment of two bolts and now all is well again in Spyder World. Once again this site has proved to be an invaluable source of information.

Thanks Scotty and thanks Lamont for creating such a great Spyder site. :2thumbs: :firstplace:
