frunk issue

Help. My 14 rts frunk does not close gently. I sometimes have to close it several times by tapping the frunk hard onto the latch. Am i doing something wrong or is it a loose latch?

First thing that I would check is that the frunk gasket is aligned and seated properly. I have had the same problem twice, & it was misalignment/seating of the gasket.

my wife had the same problem

try wiggling your key. On hers, she heard a click then the frunk would close and latch properly.

make sure the pin and lock line up and are tight. As mentioned if the gasket is off it will miss-align the latch. Your having to push the pin over to catch. Not much else involved there....:thumbup:

It's in the key frunk/seat release mechanism. Gently pop the seat and then remove the key. Then both the frunk and seat should close easily. Problem is the frunk release is out of adjustment. :banghead: :gaah: Popping the seat open and removing the key should center the mechanism so both should close easily........maybe. It works for me.........most of the time anyway. :thumbup: Good luck. ray:

Same issue with my frunk. Misaligned.

check to make sure that the wire connector by the frunk latch -- it can hold up the lid from shutting correctly
