• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm sure someone has already done this but I couldn't find the link. I would rather not be re-inventing the wheel. So if someone has installed this on a 2008-2012 RS, please send me to the link, or send/post a picture how you mounted the actuator.

Obviously everyone is enjoying the holidays with their families and didn't have a chance to answer this so I'm bumping it.

I did this on my 2008 PE# 301. Will email pictures tomorrow to you, the actuator was $12.00
and a $4.00 button. :ohyea:

frunk actuator

Hi, I have installed a cable operated opener which was easy to install and located behind the left panel the one you have to remove to check oil level. I did this because there is a posibbility that I might have the key in my jacket pocket and shut it in the frunk. Now I can remotely unlock it. Just a thought for you.
