• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front wheel bearing

On my 2010 RT with 33,000 miles I have noticed a slight clunk when the wheel is pulled straight out. There is no problem with handling or tire wear, I noticed this when I had the front jacked up and pulled on the wheel. The wheel spins without noise or roughness and I can not see or feel any movement only hear a slight clunk. Can I adjust the tension on the bearings, does the nut on the inside of the wheel ever loosen? By the way the lug nuts are tight.

I plan to have 36,000 mile service performed at dealer after Durango on would like to wait on this until I go in for service.

Thanks :dontknow:

Scotty you are right again! I pulled on the upper A arm on the right side and that is where the clunk is coming from, I still can't see or feel movement just hear the small clunk.

I do the maintenance myself but have the dealer do each 12k maintenance. After the 24k I noticed that only three of the eight grease fittings had been greased, I suspect that my upper fittings have never been greased until after 24 k when I started to do them myself. My point is I suspect that some of the regular maintenance is not being performed by dealers.

One other thing to check, I was getting a clunk when I got on the bike and rocked from side to side when I started looking I found the tie point for the anti-sway bar on the left side was loose. Tightened it up and all was good, this was probably around 20,000 to 25,000 miles.

Thats why I grease them myself? The upper 2 fittings (I believe) I had to take off a inside plastic panel on each side to get to- on my GS model. I just don,t Trust that the dealer does everything on those 12,000 mile checks BUT they sure charge you full price?

Stopped at Cowtown on the way home from Colorado and they made the needed repairs. Life is good, Scotty was right again and Len and his crew at Cowtown did a good job. By the way I have 36,000 miles on my Spyder.
