Front Tire Lapping

Left front, inside, is beginning to show some lapping. I can't see spending another $125 for alignment and $20 for balancing
so I might as well let them wear out and put new car tires on the front. Geez, my '11 had 32K when traded and the fronts still had lots of even tread.

Has anyone else had this problem with the 1330 front tires?

Many of the front tires on the 14s show cupping in the front tire. You don't need to have your Spyder realigned when you get new tires. I believe that BRP has stopped selling tires with the compound that they had on the 14s and have gone back to an earlier compound that had better wear.

have wear on my tires and after squared away aligned they are evening out. I do not rotate directional tires if you address the reason for the wear it will even out as it wears down...jmo...:thumbup:

I noticed my fronts cupping around 8,000 miles and they did not get better by 16,000 miles so I will be switching to car tires over the winter.
I did place a warranty claim with BRP, but it was denied.

Had it aligned

Stopped at my dealer yesterday and they weren't doing much so I had it aligned. It was a 1/4" out. Maybe the cupping, which is not bad, will even out eventually. This was the second alignment, the first done shortly after getting the RT early this year. I couldn't tell any difference in handling on the
ride home.

seems to me... BRP should warranty the defective tires they put on 2014's...

I guess it must depend on the specific batch because I know BRP has replaced 2014 front tires under warranty. Mine failed by 8000 miles
