• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

front tire change and possible Nanny issue 2015 rts

Will there be an issue with the nanny, limp mode or error codes if one changes the front tires to 185 55R15? The tire diameter and circumference are different from the 165 55R15 std kenda. bikerjays

It should not cause any nanny issues. The change is relatively minor and I've never read about the nanny being smart enough to distinguish tire sizes.

The issue is the rollout distance between the front and rear tires. Excessive rollout difference between the front and rear tires could throw nanny into a tailspin. The actual tire size numbers don't mean much seeing all tires actually measure different, it's the actual circumference that matters.

If you go with

The 185 55R15's please report back with your results. The main issue with using different size tire is limited space under fenders. Good luck!

175/55 R15

I'VE RUN THE 175/55 R15 ON BOTH MY RS AND NOW ON MY F3 WITH NO ISSUES....

i don't know which fenders you have, but on my F3, the 175's come really close to the inside edge of the fenders... you may want to speak with your tire dealer and ask him/her if the tires rub, can you return them...
as for the NANNY.... not to worry, the 175 or 185 vs. the 165, are only wider... NANNY may get upset if you go to a shorter/taller tire, that's where the 55 rating comes in, however, i think you'd need to really go way over to upset her....
check it all out here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc plug in the OEM size, the below the size you'd like to install... the chart will show you what's different between the two sellections....
btw; go Unidirectionals if you can... mine are the HANKOOK Ventus V4 ES 175/55 R15....
good luck...
