• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just clicked 25 K on my :spyder2: just a few days ago and today my front sprocket stripped the splines :gaah: I'm taking it to the dealer in the morning and have them call BRP ... I tried contacting them several times and then a few times more , trying to get the computer issue handled :gaah:I havn't had any luck dealing with BRP , you could say i've had NO luck :gaah: This is really p*ss*ng me off ... every so many miles I have to spend extra $$$ to keep this damn thing rolling ... there is no excuse for this ... BRP better step up and get these issues handled

I was a 2009 Spyder Ambassador ... I havn't spoke 1 good word this year and I never will again If they can't get this RIGHT !!!

the FIRE and 5 weeks without in 09 ... the computer going out and costing me 500.00 and 6 weeks without this year... whats next ?!! a complete engine failure that I will have to eat ??? I DON'T THINK SO

Sorry you are having trouble with your :spyder2:. just turned 25 K myself and my :spyder2: is running great .:2thumbs:

Wow, I am very sorry to hear about all of the problems you are having, and have had, with your Spyder. I wish you the best in getting them resolved to your satisfaction.

My ECM bit the dust 25 days out of warranty, My dealer called BRP and got it no charge. But i had to pay for the labor.[fair enough]
It did take the WHOLE month of July to get it fixed.
Also 3 weeks in September, Recall plus assorted problems.

Want mine? I haven't had any major problems with it (knock on wood). Just sitting there in the garage. Didn't get to ride too much this season - me and HDX had some other sh*t to do. But then HDX got a new Harley and I like being passenger again since I don't see him all week long but even he hasn't ridden much this season. Mine needs the new DPS and I'm scared to take it in for that. I don't want to get used to it all over again. I hope you can get yours fixed! If not, take a ride up to CT and take mine off my hands :2thumbs:

If you have the BEST warranty, or it's still within the 2 years of purchase--- I don't see why you should have to pay for labor???

Ditto for the front Sprocket!

Is the Spyder out of warranty?

Didn't spring for the BEST, And it's over two years since purchase.
Like i said i think it was fair, paying for the labor only.
They could have nailed me for the whole bill, so I'm good with it.
BUT I'm not good with the time  it took to repair the Spyder.

I wouldn't be happy either with such a long timeline. The most I've given my dealer to keep the Spyder and get it fixed for anything is 1 week - and that is what I will continue to do unless it's something massive like an engine or tranny rebuild.

Be lucky they didn't charge you storage.... :roflblack:

No I didn't get the "Best extended" warranty...I figured if it isn't going to happen in 2 yrs ... clear sailing ... as we have realized now ... not long after warranty is over ... its starts having multiple issues that are common to Spyders ...

That is definitely a tough call. I got lucky that BRP was giving the BEST coverage away for free when I bought my Spyder. If they weren't doing that I am not sure I would have bought it either. I have never been one to go for the extended warranty; however, this may change now.

+1 with above. I have until june sometime to make up my mind and but the
extra 2 years, think i'm gonna seen how expensive these parts are.

Same... I bought the extra 3 years a few months back... I think this is one extended warranty that you will get your money back out of.
