• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front spring adjustment

Hi all. Since I bought the GS on some bad French small roads the bike would jump from side to side to the point of scaring the crap out of me. As I am only 75kgs (165lbs) decided to alter the spring settings (read somewhere that dealers says not too) but changed mine to lowest rate and changed the bike with now can see the wheel actually move upwards without the frame moving. Happy boy now :yes:

Hi Haikanko,

Re: bad French small roads

I was stationed in France in the early 60's, drove a 1956 Porsche over a lot of those very fun French roads.

No 'bad French small roads' for me.

Most of the time its fine but some roads are having new water pipes fitting along the length of the road - so you have one front wheel on original tarmac and one in rough, bad finish ditch with the rear wheel either / or good bad surface!
