• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front shocks for 2010 RT

Spring Stiffeners

Roadster Renovations makes a lock-in stiffener for the 2013-16 RT's. We have had a great deal of success with them. They will not fit your model as they are, but one of the to do items (among many) is to create a stiffener for earlier models. If you wish to PM me I can explain in detail what will have to be done in order to create a set for you!

Ask your dealer if he has any leftover '11 or '12 shocks for an RT. The shocks on the '10 RT were a little too light duty for the heavier body style. I installed a pair of take off shocks from an '11 RT, which made a noticeable improvement in the handling etc.

:agree: The 2011 and 2012 shocks were a nice improvement...
I tried a 2011 set on my 2010, but eventually ended up going with a set of Elkas up front.

Bob

More info on the shocks please. I'm putting my list of upgrades together. Shocks and a Bar are at the top of the list.

Elkas? I went with a set of Stage 1+R shocks. I also added BajaRon's Anti-Swaybar.
(This is after I had tried the 2011 RT shocks...
When I first tried the bike with the full-on setup; it was TOO sharp up front. nojoke
No lean; no sway; you turned the bars, and it just WENT!
It was actually too quick for me, so I dialed three turns of preload out of the shocks, and then it was perfect!
It turned out that I needed just a hint of "lean", before the bike took a set, and went off in the chosen direction.
By the way; I never felt the need to play with the rebound settings...
