What I thought was the possibility of the onset of a warped rotor, with it's swishing noise ( that's how I describe it ), was just the need of a deep cleaning of the years of brake dust caked on the front rotors. I was already preparing myself to purchase new rotors before my cleaning escapade began, but happier with the results. Easier on the wallet too.
Took apart both sides, did the Glass Table Test as well. There was a slight variance using the paper, so I'm assuming later down the road I'll most likely be replacing both sides as I'm not sure if they have ever been replaced by previous owners. I just assume "Not"! My Spyder has 49k miles.
Rotors are good ( now clean and shiny, no imperfections ) , gave the Calipers a good cleaning. Brake pads are good. Re-greased the pins, reinstalled everything. Took it for a ride, sounds good as new. No more "swishing". Music to me ears. A great day!
