• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just got back from 4 days of riding in western Michigan, which was 1200 miles of mostly 2 lane with lots of turns and curves, and about 80 miles of 4 lane at 75 to 90 mph, today after we stopped at roadside rest area midday I ended up with a terrible vibration where the front bars shake vigorously at 52-64 mph, I checked wheel weights and have lost none, anyhow when I got home I did some rides without a helmet and noticed that I get a high pitch squeel when I turn or swerve to the left. Thoughts?
I'm thinking a wheel bearing, but the machine only 2000 miles on it :dontknow:
 
I would have guessed an out of balance wheel, however you said it just appeared and there doesn't look like any weights are missing …. it could be a wheel bearing, but first - take it for a ride and then very carefully check the brake discs for excessive heat. It may be a stuck caliper that's causing this .…. good luck …. Mike :ohyea:
 
Yes, I will be having a talk with the dealer on Monday!!!

Here is what I discovered; the clearance between the lugnut and the wheel is very tight and didn't allow for my impact socket to fully drive the lugnuts home if the lugnut is fully seated in the socket, in any event we all know that the lugnut should be torqued to 77-83 ft. lbs.. My recommendation is use a thinwall socket and of course torque the lugnuts to spec.
This problem I had was obviouly the fault of a poor PDI.

I also took the wheels to a local shop and had them checked for balance, with the weights that the bike was delivered with the right was off 3/4 of an oz and the left was off 1/4 oz.

So it's on you?? Did you leave it loose? Inquiring mind want to know.
