• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front Brakes

Good Morning, I've tried using the search function on the forum and it comes up with alot of topics not related to my search, but anyway, I have a little over 8000 miles on my spyder and I can see the rear pads but how do you see the fronts since most of the braking comes from the front. How long do pads usualy last? Thanks, Mike

Hope everyone is out ridin today.

You can get better results on searching by using google. Just type:
search term site:spyderlovers.com
The results will be restricted to the forum but it does a better job at getting results.

I changed all three sets at 21,000 miles. The fronts were toast (I changed them just in time). The rear pads still had some life in them.

I don't know if it makes any difference, but the majority of my riding is in city traffic.

Pam

Thanks everyone, you know how it is when you are driving something new. You don't know what to expect and wonder if something has changed or wrong. I checked all 3 pads and I've got a ways to go. I don't know why they didn't put a sensor on the pads to squeal when they are close to gone. Thanks again, Mike
