• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Front brake noise - HELP PLEASE

Replaced the front brake pads on our 2014 Spyder RT, seemed to be a very simple task. Ordered new EBC double H pads and some CRC brake quiet and installed them. Now I have a "fluttering" noise for lack of better words when stopping at a higher speed. Slow speed, say 35mph it is fine but traveling 55 and hit the brakes and there is a fluttering sound. The brakes work fine but the noise is too loud to ignore. I researched on this site and some say to round the leading edge of the pads so I did today and no improvement. It has to do something with the vent holes in the rotors I'm thinking, sounds a little bit like when you used to put ball cards in the spokes of your bike as a kid but not quite that loud. Any help would be appreciated! I ordered new Can Am pads today but really hate to change out new pads for other pads if I don't have to. Thanks!

I doubt you can get rid of the noise. The noise was really loud when i had organic pads on mine. Now with the ebc double H pads its much quieter, but still there. Doesnt affect anything and I have learned to ignore it.

wondering !

if you can ride backwards --- safely ----- say about 50 feet at a time , hit the brakes or apply them , get them warm too hot ! might be able to get them seated to the rotor ( kind of wear them in -n- reverse )

I have that noise with the new brake pads. I think it sounds like a quiet cicada when I am braking from speed, not loud enough to bother, just a noise that is there.
